Introduction:

In this current globalized, competitive era when we are facing a lot of hike in prices due to effect of inflation and lack of job opportunities, in our home country as well as outside, there is special need of a good, efficient recruitment system by which it will be very easy to hire efficient employees who can contribute their special knowledge in development of organization and nation and who induce their abilities to achieve the organizational goal in cheap and proper manner

All of Andhra Pradesh, Lakhs of students from various streams are graduating in various streams, and the unemployment is increasing lots and lots day by day.

Options for the graduated students:

*
Jobs
* Further studies

Jobs in India

* It can be classified into various sectors
* Financial sector
* Industrial sector
* It sector
* Political sector

Present trend of hiring professionals

* Most of the students who are placed are either from a good reputed college
* Either they did some courses at some educational institutions like NIIT etc
* They have contacts with higher authorities who give reference
* They may go for backdoor jobs
* *Rarely, job fairs are being posted in hyderabad. When conducted resumes are being collected in bulk and no response comes either
* Final option is of CPM/JKC, which provides registered students a sample of 4 companies or more.

For normal people, it becomes a very difficult task to attend the interviews, so they either settle in the BPO sector or they pursue their higher education. Those who are lucky enough get selected in the campus interviews, and rest all will face the problem of Unemployment.

What is lacking in the present system of recruitments?

Present system of recruitments are basically focusing on the college reputation where the student is graduating in their qualification

Most of the recruitments are done through some reputed educational institutions like NIIT, CMC, ORBIT etc.

Almost all of the states in INDIA have their own system of recruitments being conducted.

For example: Bangalore is a software hub of India. ..therefore walk-ins take place often. And recently a recruitment system called elitmus has been started for the purpose of all India employment, but the interviews mainly happen in bangaluru.

ABOUT SHREDS Kerala SHREDS Kerala is a professionally managed registered Society for Human Resource Development Services in Kerala. The society was registered in May 1997. The society's objectives include providing training, counselling, testing and placement services. The route adopted by SHREDS to HRD is through the design and implementation of new services which have the potential to influence the motivation, priorities and even the learning strategies of the students of Kerala.

The primary activities which SHREDS took up during the first seven years were Career counselling and campus placements of engineering students and MCAs from the Kerala campuses. More than 2000 students benefited from the career counselling activities of SHREDS.

As a pioneering activity, shreds has taken up the co-ordinated placement of all Engineering Colleges in Kerala. Right now, we are covering around 82 colleges in Kerala. The recruiting company can specify the eligibility and short-listing norms. SHREDS will take up the normal role of the Placement Cell. The expenses of the arrangements are met by a nominal examination fee paid by the candidates.

As an extension of Campus, SHREDS is helping the companies in the freshers' recruitments. In the freshers' database, we have students from outside Kerala also, which will be around half of total number.Our last year's placement figure is above 3500. Around 70 + major companies across the country are utilising our service.

SHREDS is a unique concept. We are a professionally managed non profit Society, working for Human Resource Development in Kerala by offering services which motivate the youth of Kerala. Since its establishment in 1997, the Society has concentrated on placement of fresh Engineering graduates / MCAs from the Kerala campuses. Since 2004 we have taken up the mission of coordinating the campus / freshers' recruitment of BSc/Diploma students. The concept is that of a single window for placement for all Kerala colleges.

SHREDS is acknowledged as the pioneer in establishing the concept of coordinated single window placement for multiple Institutions. Since 1997, for more than 10 years, SHREDS has been coordinating the single window placement of all Engineering colleges in Kerala (other than NITC and GCE Trivandrum,)

What after selection of students in companies:

Companies after recruiting thousands of professionals from different colleges, are providing training for the stream they want them To provide the students who are not really talented who got selected by luck, could not survive and retention takes place due to the Pressurized situation.

Therefore, companies should not entirely look up on the academic performance of the student but the practical knowledge of the Student. By doing this, companies can reduce the training period and retention can be avoided.

Talent may be present in any one.. Not that it is present in the students who are graduating from CBIT; VASAVI etc have more Talent than the one who did their graduation from a local engineering college.

Many of the general public are in the perception that, if a student chooses xyz college, he gets placed if he maintains _____% In academics.

Mission

"To bring out most talented young professionals who can face any kind of situation, easily adaptable, and flexible for any kind of job, i.e. to bring out most talented and enthusiastic professionals who are committed to their work and consider their goals as The organizational goals"

Problem statement:

Organizations hire most talented professionals, indifferent of their qualification and where they pursued the same. Equal opportunity should be given to all the fellow persons who are being educated.

Proposed system:

* A system, which gives freedom for all students to register on the spot for the exam being conducted with a minimal fees which, can be afforded by any individual
* Exam will be conducted once in 15 days in several centers
* Results will be announced in a week after the exam is conducted

Rounds conducted for short listed students cleared in the written test

*
Group discussion
* Technical interview

Group discussion

Group discussion will be conducted for short listed students in their respective center's of written test

Technical interview

* These are conducted in the prometric centers where, the technical interview will be similar to that of toefl, where there will be four sections namely
* written assement: example : student should write any program as asked by the interviewer and show the output
* Speaking: where the actual technical questions will be posed
* Listening: a case or project (real time) will be read by the interviewer (simple one) where a student is supposed to give the solution,
* Grading will be given for these assessments and short listed based on the performance

Final round

After short listing the students, the final round that is hr round will be conducted in the respective company's

Advantages of the proposed system :

* Beneficial for organization as they recruit the most talented professionals
* Advantageous for students to participate in companies and get knowledge to  fuller extent
* Interviews and all process being conducted in centers
* No recommendations are entertained.
